Children from Year 6 took part in this year's Young Coders competition. They were challenged to create a game using Scratch based on the theme 'My World, My Planet'. Although we didn't win, we had some fantastic feedback from the judges:
Nice use of both a text-based mode to engage the visitors and the diving mode to play the rest of the game.
Great job with the instructions, there were a big help to get started right away.
Using the move pointer instead of arrow keys is a great idea for the game
Nice concept to help save water for the environment.
Good graphics used when the player wins the game
Nice use of retro sounds, intro is well structured, artistically cohesive.
Good functional win and game over screens.
Well done to all of the children involved!
