We understand that there are times in life that difficulties can arise for children, young people and their families. During this, extra help and support may be needed from school and / or the local community to prevent such difficulties from escalating. This may be identified as early help - sometimes called early intervention - that aims to support families to identify strengths, strategies and services to help lessen or resolve difficulties.

The information and resources in this section are intended to provide guidance that can advise or signpost parents / carers to the appropriate service.

Our Family Liaison Officer works directly with children and their families to lessen difficulties that have an impact on a child's readiness to achieve and works alongside the Safeguarding Team and SENCo, where necessary.
