Week 2 in Nursery
We had a lot of fun exploring patterns, Winter and numbers! We read the book, ‘My Mom and Dad Make Me Laugh’ and talked about the different patterns we saw, especially spots and stripes. The children enjoyed comparing their clothes with their friends’ and noticing similarities and differences. We also explored the season ‘Winter’ and discovered some of its signs. The Dreamsnatcher
Year 6 have been enjoying The Dreamsnatcher. From mysterious adventures to magical forests, the story has really captured their imaginations. They’ve been diving into discussions, making predictions, and exploring the vocabulary in the book.

Reception Maths
We have been exploring the mass of items from around our classroom. The children have been able to explain how they know if an object is heavier or lighter by whether it goes higher or lower on the balance scales. We have also been able to use the star vocabulary: heavy, heavier, light lighter.

Year 6 Tom Palmer Author Workshop
Yesterday afternoon, our Year 6’s really enjoyed listening to Tom Palmer talk, in a virtual workshop, about being a professional author and to have the opportunity to ask lots of questions. It was great to hear about how he became an author, about some of his books and the inspirations behind them. Thank you, Tom.

Reception in the Forest
Reception have enjoyed visiting the forest for the first time in 2026. The sun was shining and the children explored all of the climbing equipment, built dens and made mud soup. It was lovely to see all of the children cooperating and enjoying the fresh air and nature :)

KS1 Multi-Skills Competition
A team of ten Year 2 children showed off their athletic skills at the Wolverhampton Schools KS1 Multi-Skills Competition. They all performed superbly and supported each other so very well, finishing in third place. Well done to all of our wonderful performers!

Haka
Year 6 brought the energy and teamwork to their PE lessons as they learned the traditional Māori haka, embracing rhythm, movement and cultural expression. A great display of energy and enthusiasm.

3HW's Whole Class Reading
3HW started a new text yesterday, 'The Hodgeheg' by Dick King-Smith. We had great fun exploring our newly decorated corridor which was themed to match our new text. We used our observations to predict what the book could be about. We read Chapter 1 and met the main characters and discussed the vocabularywe found. We cannot wait to read more.

2H - Music with Mr. Wilcox
Today 2H were introduced to Reggae - a music genre originating from Jamaica - by listening to a selection of songs by the one and only Bob Marley. We identified the rhythm and feel of the music and moved our bodies in time.

Year 3 - End of Term

KS2 Choir - Sing4Xmas
Choir attended Sing4Xmas this week - a city event held by Wolverhampton Music Services at St John's Church in Wolverhampton. They joined with a number of schools to sing many festive songs and even performed their own piece in front of a large audience. Many of our children and staff got to perform in some of the songs with other children and teachers, and great fun was had by all. This was a super way to end a very busy month of spreading Christmas cheer out and about in our

Y3 & Y4 Christmas Carol Concert
Year 3 and 4 hosted their fabulous Christmas Carol concert last week and it certainly got everyone in the festive spirit! They worked very hard learning their lines and songs - it was a wonderful event!
