World Book Day in RMP
The children have had a lovely day for World Book Day! Thank you to all of the parents, carers and Miss Gabri who have come to share a story.

Our community through coding
Year 6 have been creating Scratch tours of our local area, using variables, broadcasts and selection to make their projects interactive. They’ve enjoyed coding quizzes, fun facts and scene changes into their tours. We’re really proud of their brilliant work—here are a few snapshots!

Reception F - Read with Parents
Another successful read with parents session :) We would love to see more parents come every Tuesday 2:55pm - 3:15pm. It is a lovely opportunity to listen to your child read and share lovely stories.

Year 2 ICT
In ICT Year 2 have been creating a poster warning people about the dangers and symptoms of the Bubonic Plague. Working with partners, they use PIC.COLLAGE to produce an informative and eye catching public notice. What can you create on PIC.COLLAGE?

Reception MP
This afternoon, the children in Reception MP enjoyed their first Now Press Play experience. They used the headphones to listen to a minibeast experience, this included going on a minibeast hunt. They counted the spots on a ladybird, shrunk themselves down to the size of a snail and counted how many legs a spider has. The children had lots of fun!

Reception Minibeast Hunt
Reception enjoyed exploring the forest and searching for minibeasts. We have been learning about a range of minibeasts this week, their life cycles, what they like to eat and where they like to hide. Some children had magnifying glasses and others had clipboards to record their findings. After looking on leaves and under logs we found woodlice, worms and slugs :)

Termly Book Fairs - Thank You!
Thank you to our parents and carers for your fantastic support during our termly book fairs. Your contributions have helped us raise funds which we have used to purchase a wonderful selection of new books to enhance our reading shelves throughout school.

French Greetings
Today in our French lesson, Year 3 learnt how to say hello, how are you and goodbye. They were able to hold a conversation in pairs greeting each other, asking how are you, answering how they were and saying goodbye. They had great fun. I wonder if they can teach you some of those phrases at home!

Year 2
In Year 2 the children were set the challenge of creating their very own Tudor house, based on our History topic - London in 1665. What a fabulous group of houses we have so far!

Our Wonderful Writers

Reception - Chinese New Year
Reception have enjoyed learning the history behind Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated. The children have enjoyed joining in with lots of activities such as learning their birth year, using chop sticks and making lanterns.

Supertato
This week, the children in Nursery had a wonderful time learning about Supertato. They drew their favourite vegetables and fruits, made tasty fruit kebabs, explored potato printing and created heart pancakes. We celebrated Pancake Day by making and tasting pancakes. We then choose our own delicious toppings.

3HW 's Fable Freeze Frames
3HW have begun their new writing unit on Aesop's Fables. Today we looked at some of the features that fables have and found out who Aesop was. Aesop was an ancient Greek storyteller born around 620 BC and was a slave. He collected stories of animals acting as people. STEM Racing
Two STEM racing teams recently travelled to Aston University to compete in the Regional Finals, where they showcased the model cars they had carefully engineered and designed. As part of the competition, pupils delivered a professional presentation, created a pit display and underwent rigorous engineering scrutiny. In Science, Year 1 have been comparing materials based on their properties to see if they are waterproof or not? They performed a simple investigation to find out which material would be more suitable to use for a rain hat.

Rhythm and Pulse 🎵🎶🎤
In music, Year 1 enjoyed performing to the ‘Wake up rap’. The children performed actions and sang along. They also were using claves to tap to the rhythm and pulse in our song ‘In the groove’. A small group confidently performed this song as a band. 🎶🎵🎤

Supertato
This week in Nursery, we loved reading ‘Supertato!’ We enjoyed making medals for Supertato, hunting for hidden vegetables, building a hiding place for him, picking up peas with tweezers and collaring pictures of superheroes.
