Year 1 children were shocked to find somebody had messed up their classroom again. We used our detective skills to piece all the clues together. The children were relieved to know ‘The Superpigs’ were on the case!

The Hungry Caterpillar!
Nursery have had a wonderful week exploring the text The Hungry Caterpillar! 🐛 We’ve loved learning about life cycles, observing our class tadpoles and taking our learning out into the sunshine ☀️ Have a look at what we have been up to!

RE in 2H and 2K
We are exploring Judaism and the life of Moses. This week we acted out the story of Moses and the Red Sea taking on the roles of Moses, God, Pharaoh, the Israelites and the Egyptian Army.

Police Officer Visit
Reception F were very excited to have a visit from PC Emma Dimmock. This links into our current topic ‘People who help us’. PC Emma Dimmock told us all about her job role, showed us all of the equipment that she uses and even let us try some of her uniform on :) the children had lots of opportunities to comment and ask questions and some of the children said they would like to become a police officer when they are grown up.

3HW's Whole Class Reading
3HW have begun a new shared text in Whole Class Reading. They are reading about the adventures of Fantastic Mr Fox written by Roald Dahl. So far it has been full of fun and mischief. The children have studied the characters and cannot wait to find out how Mr Fox escapes the farmers.

2H - Looking After the Egg
In English our class text is ‘Looking after the egg’. After lots of fact finding and research it is time to categorise our knowledge under the sub headings - Habitat, Appearance, Diet and The egg in a non- chronological report.

Reception F Ingredient Hunt
Reception have been reading Zog and the Flying Doctors and discovered how Princess Pearl had cured her uncle of Orange Fever. This morning we had a letter from Princess Pearl who is now poorly herself with Yellow Fever. She asked us to search our forest for five particular ingredients for her potion and we managed to find them :) We hope that she feels better soon.

Year 1 & 2 - Our Wonderful World of Water💧💦
Today we had a guest speaker from Severn Trent who came to talk to the children in KS1. It was all about ‘Our Wonderful World of Water’. The children were told all about the water cycle and the journey of water across rivers and reservoirs. They were also informed about the importance of saving water when we wash, shower and clean our teeth.

Reception - Water Assembly
Reception children joined the Severn Trent Water assembly today where we learned about the importance of water, the journey of water and even a look at the water cycle. They enjoyed meeting Robbie the raindrop and learned of ways we can save water. There were lots of games involved which made the learning fun.

Year 1 - WHO DID IT???
The Year 1 children were shocked to find out that someone had visited their classrooms and made an awful mess! The visitor even had a snack whilst they were in there. Some of them even accused Mrs Wright-Jones of being our secret visitor because she had eaten oats for her breakfast. They all were using their inference skills to think of questions so that they could find out more clues about who it was. We even asked Mr Walker - our caretaker - to check the cameras to see if t

Easter Extravaganza
We’ve had a fun-filled week in Nursery exploring ' The Gingerbread Man' and Easter 🐰🍪🥚. The children took part in Easter activities, including an Easter egg hunt, making chocolate rice krispy cakes, decorating Easter eggs, making Easter cards and bunny faces. 🎨🐣.
