Reception Maths
We have been exploring the mass of items from around our classroom. The children have been able to explain how they know if an object is heavier or lighter by whether it goes higher or lower on the balance scales. We have also been able to use the star vocabulary: heavy, heavier, light lighter.

Reception in the Forest
Reception have enjoyed visiting the forest for the first time in 2026. The sun was shining and the children explored all of the climbing equipment, built dens and made mud soup. It was lovely to see all of the children cooperating and enjoying the fresh air and nature :)

Reception F - Christmas Songs and Crafts
Thank you so much to all who attended our Christmas songs and crafts. The children worked very hard to learn their songs and we have had a lot of fun singing them each day. We are definitely getting into the Christmas spirit :) The craft session went very well. All the adults and children got stuck in and some beautiful crafts (and treats to eat) were made. We are so proud of each and every child!

Search for Stick Man
Reception had a letter from Stick Lady Love to tell us that Stick Man is lost. We decided to search inside our forest to see if we could find him. We have not managed to find him yet, however we have been enjoying the story and we have made ‘Lost’ posters that describe him in the hope that he will be found soon!

Remembrance Day
Reception F have enjoyed learning about Remembrance Day. We have learned why it is important to remember, how we remember and we also enjoyed making poppies. The children were very good at participating in the silence this morning and understood why we did it. Please take a look at our floor book pages to read some of the quotes from the children.

A Huge Thank You From School Council
School Council would like to take the time to say a huge thank you to all of the children who brought in a donation for the shoebox appeal in support of Operation Christmas Child. The gifts that you provided will go a long way to help support a child who does not have much.

Harvest Festival
Today, our school came together to celebrate the Harvest Festival with joy and gratitude. Year 6 led the way by exploring the word HARVEST, spelling out meaningful words such as heart, starve, have and earth- reminding us all of the deeper messages behind the season. A big thank you to Mrs Ireson, who beautifully organised the display of generous donations from our school community. At the end of the celebration, Year 6 pupils worked hard to bag up the donations ready to be d
