Reception - Fun in the Sun
Reception have enjoyed both indoor and outdoor learning this week. We have been learning about seasides, pirates and boats. Children had the opportunity to build their own boats using junk modelling and construction resources; they then tested their boats in the water trays. It was interesting to hear the children investigate floating and sinking and conversations even turned to the Titanic. Reception F - Sports Day
Reception F thoroughly enjoyed sports day. The children participated in an obstacle course, quoit throw and a sprint. Each child was placed in a colour team and we all cheered for each other. The weather was kind and it was a lovely afternoon all round. Thank you to the parents that came to support this event!

Reception MP - Ambulance Visit
Reception MP enjoyed a visit from the Ambulance service this week. They enjoyed listening to what the job role is, what the uniform looks like and how they help people. Thank you to the ladies for a lovely afternoon!

Ambulance Service Visit-Reception F
This afternoon we had a visit from the Ambulance Service where the children learned about the job role, the uniform and how and why we might phone 999 in an emergency. The children were taught how to give chest compressions on a resuscitation doll using the correct hand movements. The children listened so well and were very engaged. What a lovely afternoon :)

📚 A Huge Thank You to Wednesfield Rotary Club! 📚
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Wednesfield Rotary Club for their generous donation of books to our EYFS classrooms and our new shelf for our Books4Home set up! Their support is already making a real difference, with our after-school Books4Home library proving to be a fantastic success today! It has been wonderful to see pupils enjoying access to new books and developing a love of reading beyond the classroom. If you see our Books4Home Library outside Nurse

Reception F ice cream treat
Today we had the lovely treat of an ice cream van visiting school to celebrate the hard work of all the children, in particular the Year children completing their SATs 6. We very much enjoyed the treat and luckily the sun was out long enough for us to enjoy them outdoors :)

Reception F - Music Session
Reception F loved having a music session with Mr Wilcox. We warmed up our voices, sang a range of different songs and even learned a dance too. The children enjoyed learning the mini sequence and performed it at the end of the session.

Reception Balanceability
Reception have been fortunate enough to participate in Balanceability with Mr Hudson. Here Reception F are on their second session and are thoroughly enjoying it. They will be improving their coordination and balance skills alongside learning about road safety. The children are excited for the remainder of their sessions this summer.

Police Officer Visit
Reception F were very excited to have a visit from PC Emma Dimmock. This links into our current topic ‘People who help us’. PC Emma Dimmock told us all about her job role, showed us all of the equipment that she uses and even let us try some of her uniform on :) the children had lots of opportunities to comment and ask questions and some of the children said they would like to become a police officer when they are grown up.
