Year 1 & 2 - Our Wonderful World of Water💧💦
Today we had a guest speaker from Severn Trent who came to talk to the children in KS1. It was all about ‘Our Wonderful World of Water’. The children were told all about the water cycle and the journey of water across rivers and reservoirs. They were also informed about the importance of saving water when we wash, shower and clean our teeth.

Year 1 - WHO DID IT???
The Year 1 children were shocked to find out that someone had visited their classrooms and made an awful mess! The visitor even had a snack whilst they were in there. Some of them even accused Mrs Wright-Jones of being our secret visitor because she had eaten oats for her breakfast. They all were using their inference skills to think of questions so that they could find out more clues about who it was. We even asked Mr Walker - our caretaker - to check the cameras to see if t

Year 1 Computing
1T and 1E really enjoyed their computing session. They were introduced to a new app on the IPads called ‘Popplet’.

Year 1 - R.E
This week in R.E, we have been learning about ‘Jesus the Servant King’. We watched a video that explained the story of Jesus washing his friend’s feet and how he served the community around him. We washed our friend’s hands and then thought of ways that we could ‘serve’ at home or at school. We drew all of our ideas.

Year 1 - World Book Day
The beginning and end of our World Book Day story.📚📖📒🖍️ The children in Year 1 had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day and their love of stories with their families and friends. Termly Book Fairs - Thank You!

Waterproof or not? ☔️
In Science, Year 1 have been comparing materials based on their properties to see if they are waterproof or not? They performed a simple investigation to find out which material would be more suitable to use for a rain hat.

Rhythm and Pulse 🎵🎶🎤
In music, Year 1 enjoyed performing to the ‘Wake up rap’. The children performed actions and sang along. They also were using claves to tap to the rhythm and pulse in our song ‘In the groove’. A small group confidently performed this song as a band. 🎶🎵🎤

KS1 Multi-Skills Competition
A team of ten Year 2 children showed off their athletic skills at the Wolverhampton Schools KS1 Multi-Skills Competition. They all performed superbly and supported each other so very well, finishing in third place. Well done to all of our wonderful performers!

Year 1's Christmas Eve Poems
Year 1 have been very busy innovating a poem about Christmas Eve. Each class have created different versions of the original poem and have chosen actions to accompany each verse (to the tune of 'The Wheels on the Bus'. We hope you enjoy the poem.
