1T science

In science, 1T have been exploring senses. The children had lots of fun tasting different foods and comparing them to see which foods were sweet, salty, sour, bitter and savoury. We were surprised to find that crisps were a firm class favourite!  We have also been drawing pictures while restricting our sight, testing out musical instruments to hear the different sounds that they make and enjoyed being detectives by trying to ‘guess the smell’.

Finally, the children investigated different textures and found items around our classroom to pop into feely bags and asked their friends to ‘feel’ if the objects were hard, soft, rough or smooth. It’s been a busy week!
