3HW - Tanglewood at Cannock Chase July 2026

3HW visited Tanglewood at Cannock Chase to take part in a Stone Age Day. We met the organisers and looked at all the animals that were around in the Stone Age. 3HW were super at recalling all the knowledge they had learnt in the classroom.

We then went out into the forest to build shelters which were waterproof. We had to build them in teams of 5, and Carol came around and gave them a water test while we were in them. Afterwards we took part in archery to prepare ourselves for hunting sabretooth tigers.

After lunch, each one of use made a small fire using a flint. To finish the day, we had a campfire and ate toasted marshmallows. It was a truly magical day with lots of excitement. We had a super time, and our teachers were super proud of us!
