We recently hosted a Parent-Child Online Safety Workshop for our KS2 families. Parents and children worked together on interactive activities from our online safety challenge, exploring real-life scenarios about staying safe online.
After the activities, Patrick Flynn from Online Behaviours delivered an insightful session for parents on the dangers of being online. Key topics included:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) – understanding how AI tools can be misused and how to use them responsibly.
Content Risks – avoiding harmful or illegal material and knowing what to do if you encounter it.
Wellbeing – managing screen time and protecting mental health.
Fake News – spotting misinformation and teaching children to think critically.
Online Bullying – recognizing signs and supporting children effectively.
Gaming Safety – preventing scams and protecting personal information.
Digital Reputation – why what we share online matters for the future.
Thank you to all the families who attended and contributed to making this workshop a success! Together, we can help our children enjoy the internet safely and responsibly.
